DATES

  • 13th- Venus is between the Earth and Sun
  • 15th- Venus|Moon conjunction; Ignacio Anaya Garcia born 1895, inventor of the nacho
  • 16th- New Moon ; Moon at Apogee- Moon is farthest from earth while the moon is on the ecliptic, the path of the sun in the sky , but on the opposite side of earth, thus it can not be seen cause it is in the earth's shadow. I think this should make this the least dark new moon as the moon is farthest from earth.
  • 17th - Cat's nights < a poem https://aalbc.com/tc/blogs/entry/261-good-news-blog-stories-through-a-year/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-943> in old ireland they say a witch can turn herself into a cat eight times, one a day from the 9th to the 16th , but if she turn herself into a cat on the 17th, a ninth time , she can not turn back bwahahaha! Cat's have nine lives:) ; 1978 first atlantic ocean crossing balloon flight, the Double Eagle 2 < Balloons are not dirigibles, balloons use a flexible material to house the material at rest or excited, like hot air, while a dirigible places material in a rigid structure. So for example, a balloon or a dirigible can be filled with hydrogen, a gas lighter than air. The Balloon casing will be lighter than the dirigible which is solid but the dirigible casing will protect the volatile hydrogen from being influenced from outside better on average than a balloon the casing plus the dirigible casing will allow greater pressures inside on average than a balloon casing. In parallel, the balloon casing is lighter so you need less hydrogen. The first dirigible to cross the atlantic ocean was the Deutsches Luftschiff Zeppelin 127 of germany in 1928>
  • 18th- Mercury|Moon = Mars|Moon conjunction
  • 19th - Moon on Equator. The center of the moon plus the center of the earth make a straight line at the equator of the earth.

One of the most important concepts in the following article is that the USA's connection to currency use relates to the inadequacy of coins, historically based on valuable materials, being retained. Even before the usa was born in its european colonial form it's leadership was heavily into arithmetically based financial marketeering... the dinosaurs are simply cute

But, before you view.  My thought...

At the end of the day, the studio system for the television was treated like the railroads for the car. Two working systems were busted up under the guise of antitrust, but functionally to aid a new industry in not having to deal with an old one that will be in recovery because of the changes. You can add it is like the Ma Bell being broken up when the Internet starts rolling strong.
In retrospect , the film industry never recovered and now like Ma bell, like the trains, has recombinated after being forcefully broken up but the damage of those years has hurt the financial methodology.

Love That Pass Ships In The Night

A work I intentionally made within a day using 9 random prompts. Listed below, I hope you enjoy. Really enjoyed this challenge.

  • 9:30 am
  • The last person that should be trusted with a secret
  • A Frenchman
  • Apolitical parade
  • Twenty years in the future
  • Fossilized tooth
  • Blank sticky note
  • Oversized feather
  • scalpel

Are you Eloi or Morlock?

I am an Eloi. The traveler didn't traverse everywhere, somewhere else the local morlocks had ate most of the local eloi and began to eat themselves, eventually, the local morlocks murdered themselves off, and most of the local eloi died off of starvation. But the eloi who survived used the local green palance and lucked up to learning. they thrived by one time invites from individuals among  other tribes of morlocks or eloi who  went against the grain. One day they left eart, the traveler, never knew of this clan of eloi.

Gratitude

Gratitude some say is being thankful or giving good will but in modernity I will suggest the best way to describe gratitude is spreading positivity to be positive. No one owes you positivity back for being positive to them just to be positive yourself. But, sharing positivity to be positive I think, is the best deterrent to negativity in all its forms as well as positivity for negative sake.
Speaking focusedly , as an artist, all other artists work i see allows me to absorb positivity even absent intent, cause the creativity to make any art can only add in the door stop of imagination to the door of the mind.

Everyone joins the Black complaint line in the usa

Growing up in the black community in the USA you always hear elders speak of nonviolent striving. The concept is simple. Follow the law, become a fiscal capitalistic mastermind, and you will wear down or upend the powers that be who allow themselves illegal growth or cheat fiscal capitalistic rules for their betterment.

But what you learn time and again as a Black person is not the futility of nonviolence. Nonviolence is not futile. But it has impotency against violent power. In the USA those in power achieved that power through violence. Nonviolence can't undo or overcome  that power to the enslaved/restricted/limited/impotent, it never has in human history< ethiopia/china/cuba/haiti/ireland unlike their peers or similars didn't achieve through nonviolence and the reason is clear> and I argue nonviolence will never undo violent power< if gandhi's movement in india, if the nonviolent adamant black community of tulsa oklahoma , if the native american's hyper green lifestyle long before the green movement of white hippies couldn't overcome violence, how can less honest or less focused attempts succeed?>

I am not advocating violence from blacks to whites or the government system in the usa ... i am not advocating any impotent group utilize violence in the usa to their oppressor... but I am stating a simple historical fact. Power matters, power through violence isn't to be scoffed at, ownership through violence has a strength that is very strong. Those without the ability to gain power through violence or ownership through violence are not futile or dysfunctional but they have a ceiling of potency.

Now the following are two pleas. One from a latino of the usa and one from a woman of the usa, asking when the anglo, male, white owners or powerful will share power or share ownership?

What is some advice you would give to a new artist?

Was asked by RTNNightmare, and the following is my answer.

Try to always remember the difference between the creative life side the commercial life of an artist.
The creative journey is eternal. There is no time or place or judgement that can satisfy the artists creative destination.
The proof will be in your future, when you make some heavy lauded work. Take two year after said work is lauded, and you will be more creatively unsatisfied with said work than two years ago.
The commercial journey is mortal, is straight forward. The goal is to make money using your art. The audience taste is the determinant. The ability for your work to get outreach is more important commercially than the work itself.
Remember to find communities online that enjoy the art work you do or may enjoy it. You are just starting so commercially you don't have a name to be recognized so you must go to the people who may find your work interesting.
The media tools will not direct them to you.

You have to try and comprehend and embrace that duopoly. Some, including artists, will tell you that the commercial goes hand in hand to the creative but that isn't true. And that isn't a negative.
Jean Michel Basquiat< streetart>
Philip K Dick <writer>
Penny and the Quarters<music>

All of these people posthumously found commercial success that they were not even remotely close to when living. Does it mean that when they were alive their work was crap or creative garbage. No, creatively it was fine as all work is creatively fine. But commercially, it wasn't good enough. The sad truth is that audiences tastes change, work gets outreach it never had and then can come a horde of money.

An Example of my work

IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR

The Entertainment Industry Is Going The Way Of The Automotive In The USA

Fiscal Capitalism in the USA has always been about cheating. Fortunes made from stolen land, forced labor, auniversal illegal allowances, auniversal murder of competitors, dysfunctional financial trading systems all served and serve to grow and maintain the wealth of a certain group, not to invite competition or share wealth in the USA's history and in modernity to the global system the USA manages. And it isn't all doom and gloom for the USA. Western Europe, Korea, Japan  plus many others all require the USA to protect them from countries with true militaries. So the last bit of the Entertainment Industry <music/sport already went before film>goes the way of the automotive/electronic/real estate industry in the usa as dominated by foreign actors allowed by an open market that other countries with true militaries dont allow in their borders. The question is, with nothing but being a police man to most of humanity outside the usa while machines are able to do most uncreative jobs, what industries will be left in the usa for humans? and,.. will they be enough?

Lackadaisy Rhapsody

A rhapsody is a musical form where improvised or spontaneous bridges between musical segments not aligned to each other is made as one song. The original rhapsody was the person who interwove epic poems to speak, as epic poems are long and need improvised bridges.

I was referred to this example by the following

Calligraphy Journey

the title of TheOneWithBear ManHua, Sunshine Through the Willow Tree.

It took half of year for my fellow calligraphist to make the electronic brush as well as practice the forms.

Calligraphy comes in many forms but usually is a measure between legibility<the ability to read> side figurability <the ability to see an image>

For example, the following is the tughra or signature of Sulemain the magnificent of the Ottoman empire

Metropolitan museum of art show rmaalbc
Metropolitan museum of art show

One can tell it is writing but it isn't meant for those that know the signs of arabic. It is designed to show an image, figurability.

In parallel TheOneWithBear's example below is no less craftwork, or calligraphy, but is meant for more legibility.

It is open to any form. I have to admit, with my crafting desires aside my inability to have a crafting shop. Not negative inability, merely honest. Having a physical laboratory requires a house , land, space. Urban life is not suited for most physical studies. Books/hand held crafting, nothing that is grander. And again, it isn't a problem. But I realize through 3D modeling I can make fictional forms to the various craft I am interested in. It is something. But, what to do for this contest? I have a contact page. Did you know the Rio Carnaval had some roots in Nice of France?

Of Immigration, no country outside the United States of America in human history, ever had such a large pro immigration community in itself and the USA never had over 50% pro immigration

Do you know of Wabi Sabi, a perspective philosophy from Japan. I have created a work in its honor. GDbee created coloring pages for Black History Month. One is here, click the associated link to get more.

WHAT IS WABI SABI?

I am no elser student of the viewpoint/aesthetic/lifestyle. As I comprehend it, the goal is to embrace unorder. Not to seek it out but to embrace it.  For a HaikuWriMo I created the poetry set with the Wabi Sabi concept as I comprehend it. Itself, a concept that suggest one does not need to make a scene if one is not complete in comprehending a thing.

I have a preview before links to the complete work.

Happy Besooned Valentine's Day

What medium or style of art are you most obsessed with?
None, I am not obsessed to any medium or style of art. But the art I will like to be satisfied in creating that I am farthest from is literature based games. But I am romancing it, so to speak.

What love-themed artwork(s) do you believe are the most powerful, and why?
I will say love songs are the most powerful from love themed artworks. Why? At their best they are a blend of two heart felt passions wrapped in one.
The words when best, have a comprehension that can be sung by a mute lover through their eyes or a lonely yearning person calling out in isolation.
But, when a vocalist is at their best, they can utilize the words to emit frequencies that massage the doubts or dismissals from one who has no memory of a loving touch or provide paths for memories in the wind to re-enter the silverhaired.
Unlike the film, the song need not be seen.
Unlike the painting, the song touches the body.
Unlike the book, the song has a voice when one can't imagine it on their own.
If you are interested in some love songs, consider the list in the following work, I suggest Nat King Cole, Fly Me To The Moon

Has love or obsession inspired you to create a work of art? If so, share it in your comment and talk about how the feeling inspired it!
Yes, love has inspired the following work. I am a private person. It is a gif + poetry, click to see.

If you will like something to color for Valentine's day consider the following version, please share with me if you do

If you want to listen to the poetry , I offer the following

BLACK HISTORY MONTH Q&A

What Black artists have inspired you, and what about their work do you find inspiring?

For writing: Zora Neale Hurston+ August Wilson+ Dwayne McDuffie

For drawing: Jean Michele Basquiat

For sculpting: Dahomey sculpture artist , Edmonia Lewis

For dance: Sammy Davis Jr, Gregory Hines, Michael Jackson

For photography: Gordon Parks

For Music: Louis Armstrong, Marvin Gaye, Sweet Honey on the Rock, Sade

I have more but they came first to mind

Zora Neale Hurston for cognizing the value of Black Art that was being forgotten or lost during her own time, while creating art that cherished an aspect of the Black community that wasn't as in favor as other black artist or white owned media cared for.

August Wilson for the way in which Black communal life is presented complexly while unaffrontingly, I find too many Black artists write Black people as weapons.

Dwayne McDuffie for influence on Milestone and his width of imagination.

Basquiat for his unique art way and being a fellow New Yorker, surviving for a time, the life of an artists, which can be tough

Dahomey sculpture's for an art work I like a lot they made and it is poignant to me personally.

Edmonia Lewis for never quitting while having two elements of herself that she had to accept met various resistance, and her cleopatra is magnificent.

Sammy Davis jr for how multitalented he was while always a dancer at heart

Gregory Hines for how he always presented tap dance in a street way

Michael Jackson for making dance mandatory in musical acts after him

Gordon Parks for how long it took him to begin to make it, in his 40s but he never stopped trying and reached out creatively when he did, not settling

Louis Armstrong for being relevant artistically while watching his art form change/grow/morph throughout his entire life

Marvin Gaye for telling it like it is with his art

Sweet Honey on the Rock for the soul in their voice

Sade cause she never forces the sound.

I have many Black artist I am inspired by.

I hope I can do as they did to me to someone else Black.

What are some of your favorite artworks that depict African American culture?

The People Can Fly written by Virginia Hamilton and illustrated by Leo and Dianne Dillon. Virginia Hamilton in the spirit of Zora Neale Hurston kept alive stories that many Black homes had forgotten on their own intention. And she rewrote them lovely. Leo Dillon cause working with his white wife, Dianne, they just had a great sense of making art that didn't seem imitative but was accessible in intent to all.

A few private works in my home. :)

In what ways do you think art can be used to foster understanding and appreciation across cultures?

Art by default is messages from one or many individuals about their heritage<what they carry > or culture < what they grow> to whomever access it.

I argue that art is meant to convey, the comprehension or appreciation some want art to instill in those who access art must come from the accessors themselves.

I like the works of Ravel or the marches of the national socialist part of germany. But neither of said artful acts is why I don't attack french people or why I don't concur to the Nazi party.

Art unfortunately is asked to be the peaceful bludgeon and that is unfair.

The best way to utilize art is to allow art, the freedom of art. Said freedom will generate art work that you may oppose or dislike heavily, in my case Birth of a nation by Demille. But, it exposes the truth of the communities that create them.

And rightly or wrongly, the truth is the beginning to any peaceful comprehension or appreciation between any, even if said duo is never reached in part or whole by one who access art.
