Winter Wonderland

For my winter wonderland I think of a city in an urban world, where during the december solstice, when the night is longest in the northern hemisphere or day is longest in the southern hemisphere, the moon allow a loving couple to walk from one hemisphere to another. The housing projects act as a series of pedastals to or from the sands of the south.

Afro Brasilian Museum

Museu Afro-Brasiliero in Salvador , Bahia

One in their collection

As an insignia it represents power and high rank in the Afro-Brazilian socio-religious hierarchy. There is a recurrence of stylization of the carvings, mainly on the back and its upper part, containing symbols referring to the initiate's orixá, vodun or inquice. Belonging to the Laura Costa Santos vodunce (1904-1979) from Nação Ewe jeje, daughter of the Manezinho de Oxossi terreiro, the chair was donated by Walter Rocha in 1983

Far West Photomanipulation

It took me a while but I figured out a way for my style of artistry to create in photomanipulation. I create collages. In that way I am making all the elements to add to the photomanipulation in one page. I wrote a larger story but I didn't share it.

For the cursed costume Barbie, it took me a while to figure out what to do for the cursed costume. 

The Myth of the Manhattan Mourner

my first photo share, based on a ghoul placed outside a home near where i live. 

The Myth

It started as most mournful wives journey's begin, with death. For most wives, a husband or a child enter the spirit world absent the other. But, the Manhattan Mourner had both. And absent two she knew no other, and lived all alone. Her money must had been good cause she never was evicted. But, if you cry at the foot of her townhouse, to a love that is shared, she will grant you audience, and tell you what you need to end the shared sorrow. If the love isn't shared, she gains half of the life from each who don't share that fate would give. But no one knows what she does with the time?

The computer art students

The comments by human artists as the power or availability of computer artists to be taught through challenges, prompted, by humans increases shows a fear. 

If no one wants my art because a computer can do it , then so be it. I am not an artists to be in competition to other artists be it human or computer, and as a human being, I have to find a way to make money to support myself. And if that means doing something I don't like to make money, well so be that as well.

well said. I concur. I am not going to change who I am as an artist because of the environment changing. The problem with many artists today is they waver on being themselves whenever they realize a tool has come along that challenges their existence in some fashion as it .

Gladys Roy

This rare video from 1926 shows fearless aviator Gladys Roy performing one of the most daring aerial stunts in aviation history: changing a wheel on an airplane while flying!

Known for her daring feats, Gladys was at the height of her career in the 1920s, at a time when such stunts were performed to attract public attention and promote the emerging world of aviation.

Tragically, the following year, in 1927, Gladys unexpectedly met her end. During a performance in Minneapolis, she was on the ground, walking on the wing of a plane, when she didn't notice another plane taking off. The plane struck Gladys, causing fatal injuries.

This tragic accident occurred when she was just 25 years old, prematurely ending the career of one of the most courageous aviators of the time.

Photomanip storybook

I made a photomanipulation. After many attempts at trying I figured out how I can do photomanipulations in my own creative context. I am not a huge or big fan of using other people's work. I feel confident I can make anything I imagine as literature or graphic. But, the photomanipulation contests want multiple elements , as a collage I can do the multiple elements.

Disney 100

At the 18th of October , Disney turned 100 years old. After the photo are my thoughts.

yesterday they had on local television a celebration of the 100 , which i had no idea of, before presenting encanto and I thought to myself Disney probably will be only angry at one thing today. And that is how little competition Disney has garnered from other artist in the USA. Yes, Disney the firm, from Walt's time to now is competitive and likes to be the main/sole/primary cartoon source in the usa. But, Disney was correct when he spoke to the artists who wanted to strike years ago.  Owning your own business is what he did to free himself from others, as an abused artist. He wanted his workers to do the same but most did not feel or have the strength to do that and I think workers still don't.

Jean Ann Field Ridley  has made a book to make christianity relatable to black children in the caribbean.

This is a time of much division. Families and communities are splintered by polarizing narratives. Outrage surrounds geopolitical discourse—so much so that anxiety often becomes a sort of white noise, making it increasingly difficult to trigger intense, acute anger. The effect can be desensitizing, like driving 60 miles per hour and losing hold of the reality that a minor error could result in instant death.

If unconvinced I said the following about the film, The Intruder

 the movie was a financial failure but Roger Corman admitted this was an art film, which he was able to barely afford, but he wanted to do. Comprehend this movie had to be a loser. Shatner's character didn't die? the rich guy of the town wasn't convicted of some crime. The black guy didn't become a hero. The truth is, the intruder speaks to the truth of alof of interracial situations in modern humanity. It is the same as the pawnbroker with rod steiger. 

The populace in the usa: white black or other, likes convenience. Likes narratives. Any art that goes against narrative is rarely liked. If the matrix ended with neo being killed and the system rebooting and then in some far date in the future, the sun returns and  the machines don't need the matrix for power, that would bea downer. audiences like a set narrative.

What is the lesson in the Palestinian?

Notice I didn't ask about their relationship to jews/zionists/israelis. The Palestinian at once time circa 1947 had a situation that had two main problems for them. 

1) Their country was governed by an outside force, the united kingdom of britain

2) A set of immigrants with ever growing support from The United States of America- the most powerful military among the college of human governments on earth circa 1947 plus said united kingdom wanted into their country.

The lesson is straightforward: never accept foreign control + never accept immigrants who don't share your heritage plus culture. If you do these two things you end up  like the palestinian in israel as well as the native american in the usa. 

Don't be a fool. 

Dark Academia

The following is a question and answer I gave concerning the Dark Academia artistic theme.

Do you have any favorite pieces of media that fit the dark academia theme?

I can't say the following film is most beloved or most favorited by me, but I like the films: "the covenant" ... I recall an old legend, I do not know where it is cited online, I read it offline. The old legend, told my way,  says that in spain, under a mound somewhere, is a gateway to a classroom. In this classroom, a negative spirit teaches all the students spells pertaining to shadows. The students live there and at the end of the course, the student with the worst grades must stay , their soul locked their forever.

How do you feel about dark academia as an aesthetic? Would you incorporate elements of it into your art or everyday life?

In my mind dark academia and the modern goth artistic movements are similar. I am an open minded artist so I don't have any biases to any aesthetic. I am not one to dress in it, but it is fine if someone else does. I know people offline who are goth or have a similar taste.  In terms of my own work, I can't recall anything that is dark academia. But I have written quite a bit. I have written work that deals with people learning magic and doing negative things but I don't see that as dark academia. Just learning negative magic or powers doesn't equate to dark academia for me. IF so, then every sith student in star wards is an example of dark academia and I don't see it that way. I think the larger environment has to bound to the darkness. Having house slytherin doesn't make harry potter dark academia.  Now,  a story about Durmstrang, the rival school to hogwarts, that teaches the full spectrum of dark magic <if you want me to write something, message me>

The problem with not saying what you want?

People like Greenwood never seem willing to admit their problem. They want the community they live in to be based on some conduct code ,but are unwilling to call for it. While they know they live in a fiscal capitalistic community which by default breeds a primary profiteering culture.

Greenwood wants no criminal or illegal activity plus the dismissal of penny dreadfuls by individuals. That is what his words suggest. The only way that can happen in the fiscal capitalistic england of his time is for fiscally poor people to embrace their poverty with a smile and become devout to the rules set by various christian denominations.

Do you know about female snakes?

I admit I knew about female snakes while totally ignorant about female snake vaginas. But I must go to the beginning. I saw the following image.

And I realized something. How can a snake-woman mate? In many images, snake woman seem to have a vagina like a human woman but that doesn't fit the snake anatomy well. Now I know that many species have an organ some call a cloaca [I learned for bird research a while back] which is designed to be a place for peeing/defecating/birthing. And I was right in my guess that snakes have cloacas. So I searched for one for females and I learned this is not commonly known. Knowing this if I ever do a hybrid snake-human woman in the future I will consider that reality in her posture. A study done in 2022 says the following in italic, with the entirety at the URL linked after the italic text. Remember to click read more. 

Despite more than two centuries' worth of data on hemipenes, however, nobody had described an equivalent structure in female snakes. The lack of evidence caused some scientists to speculate that snake hemiclitorises might not exist at all — or that, if they did, they had been reduced to a stunted evolutionary remnant.

A lack of research around female anatomy is a troubling scientific trend. Even in humans, surprisingly little is known about the clitoris. The full structure of the organ, which includes not only the little nub at the top of the labia but also two large internal bulbs full of nerve endings, wasn't discovered until the mid-1840s. Even then, it remained relatively obscure to the medical establishment until Australian urologist Helen O'Connell's work in 2005, which showed that typical textbook depictions of the clitoris were riddled with inaccuracies. In fact, just last month, scientists counted all 10,000 nerve fibers in the human clitoris for the first time.

Data about female reproductive anatomy and behavior in nonhuman animals are even more scarce. A November analysis published in the journal Nature found that between 1970 and 2021, more than seven times as many papers were published about sperm competition in animals compared with female mate selection. A 2014 perspectives article published in the journal PLOS Biology found that about 50% of all studies of animal genitalia published between 1989 and 2013 focused exclusively on males, while 10% focused only on females.

Jann Wenner and the art of the fair interview

I read Wenner's [a creator of 'rolling stone magazine'] New York times 09/19/2023 interview  in completion.  He was asked a very personal question. How did you choose subjects for your book? His answer was honest while judgmental, but he also conveyed his own method for interviews which the interviewee of the times was ignorant of. I find it a simple reality. Wenner didn't relate to non white + non male rock and roll artist cause non white + non male rock and roll artist are different. Labor practices among women are well known to differ than men, even in the same situation. This relates to how non black or non male artist interview , which Wenner judged disconnected to the talking points of white male rock and roll artist.

Disney-StarWars has made female strong characters in most of their recent work: star wars episode 7/8/9- ray who finally ends the emperors reign and stars a new era absent the sith or jedi; rogue one- the daughter of the death star engineer, absent any force, who sacrifices all and guides others to make important choices and sacrificial choices to do one good while very powerful deed;Mandalorian show- Boka Tan changes from a defeated isolated leader to a better communal leader, even getting guidance by a man plus older woman, still with great fighting skill, who succeeds in fufilling her goal of uniting her people; Book of Boba- fennec shand <I do enjoy her> survives being betrayed by a younger man and becomes the trusted second in command, while visibly more dangerous than her boss, an older m, to an independent underworld empire; Ashoka Tano- has Ashoka who: admits she was/is wrong, survive failure, is extremely skilled plus lethal, trusts others to help to a collective goal, and moves in a very non offensive way, and chooses to continue training a child, no one, not even a very experienced purely logical machine, thinks has a chance of finishing her education. And is accompanied by a green skinned female general who always seems level headed but never follows orders blindly and is very sharp minded. A female padwan with the least amount of obvious impressiveness, a sign of how self loathing moth gideon was, who is full of love, who finally accepts her mandalorian roots. With female strong villains in a grey haired witch who is strong and in charge, but not flashy, while a young female warrior dedicated to a master but with a honest cruel streak. So the writers at the Star WArs section of disney have been working on female strong characters from the Stars wars films for a while, and they seem to be getting better with age. And the quality of male characters to the writers credit don't seem to be getting worse but are staying with them. I think the problem with the hans solo movie or the obi wan kinobi show was the male leads.
